Bourns, a leading global manufacturer and supplier of electronic components, has launched the first two POWrFuse™ power fuse product lines. Bourns' new line of industrial fuses feature high power ratings and are designed to meet UL 248 and IEC 60269 standards. The performance of the POWrFuse™ series helps protect solar photovoltaic power generation systems known to operate under extreme ambient temperature, high cycling and low overload fault current conditions, while providing excellent performance in a variety of industrial, power and battery management system (BMS) applications solution.
Specifically, the POWrFuse™ PF-E series is designed to meet the UL 248-19 (gPV rating) standard for photovoltaic fuses, offering voltages of 1000VDC, power ratings from 15 to 30 A, and breaking currents up to 20 kA. Designed to meet UL 248-19 and IEC 60269-6 (gPV-rated) photovoltaic fuse standards
The POWrFuse™ PF-H (gPV) series offers 600VDC/VAC voltages, 15 to 30 A power ratings and up to 150 kA breaking current. Both power fuse families offer fast-acting protection, low resistance and power loss at fault currents with an operating temperature range of –55 to +125 °C. Both series offer screw-on and plug-in solder mounting options
