The CMX90G301/2 from CML Microcircuits is a low-power 50-ω cascade MMIC gain block suitable for a wide variety of wireless applications, operating in the frequency range of 1.4 GHz to 7.1 GHz. The gain block has a positive gain slope C throughout the frequency band, eliminating the need for equalization and compensating for system losses as frequency increases.

The CMX90G301/2 is highly integrated and easy to use, minimizing the number of components and board area. The RF port matches the 50 Ω and DC blocking capacitor on the chip. Active bias circuits allow the device to operate at a wide supply voltage of 2.7 V to 5 V, with a typical current of 20 mA. Using GaAs pHEMT provides a combination of low DC power, low noise, and high gain.
