Benetel and ASOCS have pooled their expertise to provide industry with the technology needed to install 5G private networks. The two companies have entered into joint global collaboration and are currently conducting extensive interoperability testing. ASOCS will then integrate Benetel OpenRAN RUs with its CYRUS proprietary 5G RAN software. This will be an important step forward in the industry 4.0 process, helping to achieve 5G's high data rates, low latency and enhanced security features, as well as the wi-Fi-related ease of installation.
Benetel's RAN550 RUs are aimed at indoor use, while the RAN650 RUs are for outdoor installations. Offering a 4T4R antenna configuration, these OpenRAN RUs have 7.2 functional splits and can provide an instantaneous bandwidth of 100MHz. Versions supporting n78, n77u and n79 bands are available. By combining these RUs with the highly flexible and scalable CYRUS software, industrial customers can build next-generation network infrastructures to support higher levels of automation. This means the entire site can utilize a single, multi-faceted platform for a seamless transition of indoor-to-outdoor coverage.
