     VINATech said it will use Vina (Vina Pulse Capacitor) hybrid capacitors on Samsung Electronics' new 2022 new eco-friendly solar cell TV remotes for new QLED TVs. It is the first time in the world that a hybrid capacitor replaces the battery as the main power source for a TV remote control.

     VPC is a high power density, environmentally friendly hybrid capacitor created by the company's R&D team using innovative technology and expertise. VPC hybrid capacitors combine the advantages of supercapacitors and batteries, utilizing different materials for both electrodes. And the new Eco Remote uses VINATech VPC hybrid capacitors and energy harvesting technology. This allows charging to take place even in the dark

     Supercapacitor is an energy storage device suitable for instantaneous high power output. The advantages are fast charging and discharging speed, long life and wide operating temperature range. But supercapacitors have lower energy density than batteries. In contrast, the energy density of VPCs is about 10 times higher than that of supercapacitors of the same size. 

     They also retain the advantages of supercapacitors, such as faster charge and discharge rates than batteries, and the ability to operate over a wider temperature range of -25°C to 85°C. Also, unlike batteries, VPCs have no risk of fire or explosion.

     They are also optimized for environmental protection, as charge/discharge cycles exceed 50,000 times, which is 100 times longer than batteries. And the vpc is made of environmentally friendly materials, helping to reduce carbon dioxide emissions throughout the life cycle from production to disposal.
