Harwin has developed a new method to quickly, simply, and efficiently connect LED arrays, eliminating any need for soldering operations after assembly and simplifying rework.
The new EZ-Removeable Jumper Links are part of the company's EZ-Boardware series of PCB hardware solutions, including contact clips and removable link rods. Surface-mounted clips are provided in tape-and-reel packaging, which can be placed automatically, while loose removable links make electrical connections between the clips. This system ensures that the connecting rods are securely fixed, while allowing them to be quickly removed and replaced in the event that a defective LED array needs to be replaced. The clips have vertical and horizontal styles.
This product allows users to further automate the processes involved in manufacturing and assembling multiple LED arrays without the need for manual soldering and / or the use of more expensive conventional connectors. The novel design removes a single array in the event of a failure without disturbing adjacent PCBs, simplifying the repair process and providing a convenient method of repair. The EZ detachable jumper link occupies the least board space, and the neutral color reflects the light to the greatest extent. They can withstand currents up to 1.5A, making them ideal as a cost-effective PCB connection system.
