Available from Mouser is the Texas Instruments TLV3601 High-speed rail-to-rail comparator, which features a fast response and a wide operating voltage range. In lidar, rangefinder and line receiver, it is suitable for narrow signal pulse detection and data and clock recovery applications. It is a 325MHz, 2.5ns propagation delay comparator with rail-to-rail inputs.

The device interfaces directly with most popular digital controllers and IO expanders in downstream circuits. Compared with other high-speed differential output comparators, the comparator provides push-pull (single-ended) output, simplifies and saves I/O interface board-to-board wiring costs, and reduces power consumption

The device is packaged in a very small five-pin SC70 package, which makes it ideal for space-constrained devices.

Typical applications include clock and data recovery high-speed trigger functions in laser rangefinders, oscilloscopes and logic analyzers, distance sensing in lidar, unmanned aerial vehicle vision, and high-speed differential line receivers.
