Rutronik introduces RAC20E-K/277, a high power density 20 W AC/DC converter in the E-K series from RECOM, which features an OVC III rating for operation at 2000 m altitude (5000 m for OVC II ), and has a wide operating temperature range of -40 °C to +90 °C (with derating), making the device ideal for harsh environmental conditions such as roadside EV charging points, industrial environments, and test and Power supply in measurement applications. In addition, its high power density is suitable for general household applications and applications with a nominal voltage of 277 Vac. Measuring only 52.7 mm x 27.6 mm, the RAC20E-K/277 is the same as existing 20 W K-series modules, but is pin-out compatible with other industry standards. This 20 W AC/DC converter features a high isolation voltage rating of 4 kVac and can be fully loaded over a wide input voltage range of 85 – 305 Vac. Available in a single 5 V, 12 V, or 24 V output, the device is more than 80% efficient on each output and consumes less than 200 mW at no load, meeting ECO guidelines.
The RAC20E-K/277 is certified to UL/IEC/EN 62368-1 and IEC/EN 61558-1/2-16 and meets the EMC limit requirements of EN 55032 Class B standard without additional external components. Standard features include full protection against output overvoltage, overcurrent and short circuit.
Using highly reliable components and advanced design techniques, the RAC20E-K/277 has an MTBF of 830,000 hours at 25 °C, meets MIL-HDBK-217F (GB) standards, and is backed by RECOM's standard three-year warranty .
