Texas Instruments ’(TI) CC2650STK SimpleLink Bluetooth Smart SensorTag kit is designed to help design engineers realize product ideas that connect to the cloud.
The new SensorTag now includes ten low-power MEMS sensors in a small red package. It can be expanded with DevPacks so that you can easily add your own sensors or actuators. You can use Bluetooth Smart to connect to the cloud and bring sensor data online within 3 minutes. SensorTag can be used immediately in iOS and Android applications, without any programming experience to get started. The new SensorTag is based on the CC2650 wireless MCU, which reduces power consumption by 75% compared to previous Bluetooth Smart products. The company says this allows the SensorTag to be battery-powered and can use a single button battery to provide years of battery life.
