Vishay has introduced a new series of miniature radial leaded positive temperature coefficient (PTC) sensing thermistors. The PTCSL03 series devices have a tiny diameter of less than 4mm, a wide range of well-defined temperature levels from + 80C to + 150C, and standard ± 5C tolerances, designed to provide compact, accurate remote overheating detection in alternative energy, industrial and consumer Class application. The devices released today provide excellent long-term performance with ΔT≤1C after 1,000 hours to provide reliable overheating protection and control in power supplies, inverters, motor drivers, lighting drivers, smart fuse boxes, and pump motors. The maximum R25 of the sensor is 120ohm, the maximum voltage is 30V, the dissipation factor is 5mW / K, and the fast thermal time constant is 6s. The PTCSL03 series consists of medium-resistance doped barium titanate ceramic chips with copper-clad steel wires.
